Maria Reva

Maria Reva was born in Ukraine and grew up in Canada. She is the author of the short story collection Good Citizens Need Not Fear(opens in new tab), and the novel Endling(opens in new tab), which was longlisted for the Booker Prize, nominated for the Dublin Literary Award, and was the winner of the Atwood Gibson’s Writer Trust Fiction Prize in 2025. Her fiction has appeared in The Atlantic, McSweeney’s, The Best American Short Stories, and elsewhere, earning a National Magazine Award. She also works as an opera librettist.
